Finding the right balance of elegance and luxury that blends with practicality for everyday use is now possible. This Volage 243 is testament to that statement, with its contemporary looks and regal quilted design. Designed by Phillipe Starck, the modern feel of this sofa is accentuated by its lightness and superior light polished aluminium feet which is left bare at the base.

The 243 Volage has a collection of sofas, armchairs and ottomans; characterized by a quilted look on the seats and armrests. The design accommodates either rectangular back cushions or square removable feather cushions, so you are free to be creative in the portrayal of the design to make it your own. The flexible down-filled back cushions are available in rectilinear or square shapes – each of which features a simple cruciform welt creating four large quadrants. The three cushions fit perfectly aligned against the back rest riding slightly above the backrest in height.

The design can also be arranged asymmetrically within the sofa to reveal the interior backrest that, unlike the seat cushion, has no tufts. In order to offer comfort and form, the rectilinear sides are the same height as the backrest – the interior of which is tufted to parallel the tufts of the seat cushion, offering both comfort and style. Available in both fabric and leather, this sofa forms part of Cassina’s Contemporanei collection.
