Here are the top five villa purchases made in the last quarter of 2016

Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills properties continue to dominate on the higher end of the market. The Palm Jumeirah villas accounted for over AED 311 million whilst Emirates Hills villas accounted for AED 107 million in the last quarter of 2016, according to data from REIDIN. Here are the top 5 villas of Q4, according to the 2016 REIDIN report:

1. Palm Jumeirah Villa, Aed 30 Million

Starting with the Palm, the most expensive villa of the quarter was sold at AED 4,166 per square foot in October 2016. The property (not pictured) features a BUA of 7,201 square feet on a plot of 13,406 square feet. According to Palm Jumeirah expert, Andrew Cleator, villas at this price point are typically Signature Villas with Built Up Areas (BUAs) of around 7,000 square feet on 13,000 square foot plots.

2. Palm Jumeirah Villa, Aed 28 Million

A villa on the Palm sold at AED 3,889 per square foot in November 2016 with a square footage of 7,200 on a plot of 13,404 square feet.

3. Palm Jumeirah Villa, Aed 27 Million

Another Palm Jumeirah property sold at AED 3,751 per square foot in November 2016 for a villa with a square footage of 7,199 on a plot of 13,402 square feet.

4. Emirates Hills Villa, Aed 25.5 Million

A villa in Emirates Hills (not pictured) sold at AED 2,382 per square foot in October 2016 with a square footage of 10,704 on a plot of 15,772 square feet.

5. Emirates Hills Villa, Aed 25 Million

The last villa (not pictured) on this exclusive list was from Emirates Hills. It sold at AED 1,777 per square foot in November 2016 with a square footage of 14,071 on a plot of 20,406 square feet.
