The D1 Tower is the highest residential building in the Dubai Creek area. Located in an area that culminated in Dubai being a port, the building features modern design meshed with history of the region. The building has been designed to replicate the craft of dhow trading boat construction that used to occur on the site when trade had boosted the founding of Dubai as an emirate and as a booming trade centre. The fishnets used by fisherman in earlier times are also added as inspiration for the building's resultant structure. The primary facades are constructed as a series of layers to protect against the harsh environment.
Towering above 80 storeys, it will be located in the heart of Culture Village, a master development which will feature cobblestoned streets, water traversing bridges, art galleries, sculpture exhibitions, museums, a dockyard displaying traditional ship building techniques, museums, Creekside restaurants, cafes, an exhibition hall as well as a rustic Arabian souq.
D1 Tower's residents' facilities include a sky-rise lounge, private cinema, indoor pool, gymnasium and concierge services. D1 is uniquely positioned adjacent to the majestic Palazzo Versace Dubai.
