Spread across the upper floors of Burj Vista Tower 2, this five-bedroom triplex measures 6,922 sq ft and keeps the Burj Khalifa in view from nearly every room. The palette is deliberately limited to black, white and pale marble, so the skyline does most of the decorating. The layout is vertical, with entertaining at the bottom, bedrooms in the middle and a retreat at the top, and it feels closer to a townhouse than a flat. Completed by Emaar, the 20-storey tower is one of the neighbourhood's more recognisable addresses.

You arrive on the living level, where a charcoal ceiling sits over white walls. The effect is quiet and graphic, a little like a gallery after hours. A white bouclé sofa curves toward a television alcove with a few shelves for objects, and the rest of the room faces the glass. The windows run floor to ceiling and bend with the building, so the towers appear in one continuous sweep. The balcony is the natural place to end up.

The kitchen sits beside the dining table in gloss white and black-veined stone, which also runs up the splashback. There is a central island with a gas hob and a full run of integrated appliances. A glass-balustraded staircase leads up to the bedrooms, which differ in character. Some are bolder, with tailored headboards, Arabic-script artworks and round mirrors that frame the view like portholes. Others are lighter, with warm wood floors, fitted wardrobes and marble-tiled bathrooms, and one has a desk set up to face the city. The bathrooms are in white marble throughout, with freestanding baths, twin vanities and glass-enclosed showers.

The top level opens through glass doors to a games room and a terrace that is unusually large for Downtown. It is organised into distinct areas. Woven armchairs and a long bench make a lounge for the evening, and a dining table at the far end sets the city behind your guests. There is also a private mini-golf course, with several putting greens laid out among the planting.

The Area

Burj Vista sits on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, with the Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, the Dubai Fountain and the Opera District all within easy reach. The building's honeycomb-patterned terraces are angled toward the tower and the skyline. At street level, the Boulevard's cafés and restaurants fill up as the day cools. DIFC, Business Bay and the airport are each a short drive away.
