Leisurecorp

Leisurecorp was formerly known as Istithmar Leisure. Leisurecorp is a subsidy of Dubai World, with a focus on golf. Leisurecorp was established in 2006. Leisurecorp owns PGA European tour venues Pearl Valley Golf estates in South Africa and Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. In November 2007, Leisurecorp agreed to a major partnership deal with PGA European Tour. The deal saw the creation of the season ending Dubai World Champion, held annually at the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Leisurecorp has major shareholders in Island Global Yachting, Troon Golf, GPS Industries and Snowmass, Colorado. The PGA European Tours International headquarters were also moved to Jumeirah Golf Estates in 2009. Due to having developed such a close relationship with PGA European Tour, Leisurecorp hopes that in the future it may be able to stage the Ryder Cup in Dubai.
