There are places in the world that invite you to slow down, disconnect from modern life, and simply breathe. Provender, an exceptional five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath historic beachfront residence is one of them.

Set on Windermere Island, a gated private island community with 24-hour security and a private member only club, this property occupies 1.32 acres of beautiful, natural landscaping and offers 150 feet of direct frontage on a mesmerizing three-mile stretch of Atlantic pink sand beach.

Built in the early 1970s and lovingly enjoyed for decades by a prominent British family as their private island retreat, the residence has an enduring sense of place—an authentic escape from the pace and pressures of the modern world.

Prince Charles and Lady Diana honeymooned at Provender in 1981, and other members of the Royal Family have also stayed at this historic property.

For those looking for more space, three adjoining lots can also be purchased to create a single, substantial beachfront estate.

Approximately 2,554 square feet of versatile living space is designed around privacy, comfort, and an effortless connection to the sea, and nature. Four of the five bedrooms enjoy magnificent ocean views. There are two suites (each comprising a bedroom and a bathroom), positioned on both sides of the open-plan living and dining area, which create a wonderfully private arrangement for family and guests, with the fifth, smaller bedroom tucked toward the garden side. Every bedroom has an adjoining bathroom.

At the heart of the home, oversized sliding glass doors open on both sides of the principal living area, drawing in the Atlantic panorama and allowing island breezes to flow naturally through the house. Italian-tiled floors extend throughout, while approximately 550 square feet of timber decking creates an inviting outdoor setting for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, alfresco dining, or simply watching the ever-changing colours of the sea.

Equipped for comfortable island living, the residence includes broadband Wi-Fi and Starlink, ductless air-conditioning in every room, a dedicated laundry and storage area, outdoor shower, bicycle and kayak storage, dual water supply, a 10,000-gallon cistern, and a substantial backup generator. A private boathouse further enhances the property’s connection to its extraordinary coastal setting.

Just a five-minute walk away, residents have access to The Club at Windermere offering a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness centre, library, and a tranquil lagoon-side beach complete with bar and lounge chairs.

Whether envisioned as an off the beaten track private residence, a multigenerational family retreat, a corporate escape, or an exceptional short-term rental opportunity, this rare beachfront property offers something increasingly difficult to find - space, privacy, history, community, and an extraordinary natural setting - all in one place!

Seize this one-of-a-kind opportunity to acquire a haven in which to step away, recharge, and rediscover the pleasure of unhurried island living.
