Palm Jumeirah

The 8th Wonder of the World

The 8th Wonder of the World

The self-declared eighth wonder of the world, Palm Jumeirah, is a man-made, palm-shaped island. The palm strategically increased the length of Dubai's shoreline by 100% by covering an area of 7 million square-meters, while extending 6.5-kilometers into the Arabian Gulf. The island houses a trunk with low-rise residential apartments, while the sixteen fronds are home to villas. Multicultural celebrities and socialites are more drawn towards the exclusivity and posh-living of the apartments and villas for rent in the area, as the island features private beaches, marinas, restaurants, cafés, and an array of retail outlets.

The Neighbours

Excusivity At Its Finest

Palm Jumeirah offers an ultimate crème de la crème lifestyle that appeals to the rich and famous. International wealthy expatriates, like celebrities and socialites, have acquired residency in one of the most exclusive areas by making this a place of second-home residences that promote privacy and tranquility amidst seaside-living, at its best.

The villas located on the fronds of the Palm consist of various sized homes that attract family-friendly customers because of its exclusionary, private living for villa owners. The backyards of these villas extend onto private beaches for each of the homes, cooperating well with high-earning professionals. However, a relatively less-costly option are the apartments situated on the trunk of the palm. These are best-suited for prosperous singles that enjoy high-end living. The extensive  list of shops, restaurants and bars cater best to the needs of couples and singles, while still boasting scenic views and the best of amenities.

What To Expect

True Resort Style Living

The Palm Jumeirah offers an unrivaled experience of wonder and serenity that only the privileged can experience.

A themed hotel based on the underwater lost city of Atlantis, housing the same name, is a favourite amongst many living in or visiting Dubai. The resort boasts a mesmerizing aquarium that is home to 65,000 marine animals, two pools, a top of the line spa and nearly a mile of man-made beach. Guests have unlimited free access to the fun-packed Aquaventure Waterpark right next door, where there are also dolphin and sea lion experiences, as well as ray feeding sessions. An array of dining options are at your service (like fine-dining in Nobu), as well as popular bars and clubs that boom the nightlife in the Palm.

The Boardwalk

Stretching out to 11-kilometers is the seaside promenade, Boardwalk. It runs along the exact length of the palm's crescent, surpassing Atlantis, while providing extensive and scenic views of the Arabian Gulf, with the Dubai Marina skyline at the opposite end.  Featuring several food vans along the pathway, it is quickly developing into a top tourist spot not only for tourists and residents to enjoy a leisurely walk or run on the jogging track, but for breathtaking pictures.

Beach Clubs Galore

Nasimi Beach resides within jurisdiction of Atlantis, The Palm, but is a whole new world of its own. When the sun shines down, the beach club hosts a posh, resort-style atmosphere, whereas by nighttime local and international DJ's turn the sandy area into a party. Offering an array of choices at the bar and a delicious menu, the beach is a favourite amongst tourists and locals alike.

Located in building 8 of the Shoreline Apartments is the RIVA Beach Club which has its own stretch of private beach with more than 200 sun loungers that can be booked for a whole day, with a climate-controlled pool, a fully licensed gazebo bar and al-fresco restaurant. The club also offers many retail outlets and a spa for luxurious pampering.

Eden Beach Club is built in the hotel Rixos on the Palm and the coast offers comfortable sun beds and beachfront bungalows designed to give the best relaxation in absolute serenity. The beach bar provides delicious cocktails throughout the day while the night makes the club a dance floor.

Palm West Beach has emerged to be a favourite spot amongst residents and visitors alike. With stunning views of the Dubai Marina and Ain Dubai, you can experience all-day seaside entertainment and savor the best views of the Dubai skyline along the 1.6km promenade and beachfront. Whether you're strolling or running along the walking trail, enjoying leisurely beachfront breakfasts, or building sandcastles against the backdrop of picturesque sunsets, Palm West Beach has something for everyone. Indulge, dine, and stay active at Palm West Beach, where a variety of shoreside restaurants await, including KoKo Bay, Surf Club, Lucky Fish, Jones The Grocer, Señor Pico, and Orange Chameleon, among others. Palm West Beach is also home to five-star hotels such as Fairmont The Palm, Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, and FIVE Palm Jumeirah, with more on the horizon. Additionally, luxurious residential properties like SOHO Palm Jumeirah and ONE PALM add to the allure of this vibrant destination.

The Monorail

The Monorail, especially built for Palm Jumeirah, is a rail running down the trunk and crescent of the impressive island. The route is 3-miles long and runs from the Gateway Station in Al Sufouh, all the way to the Atlantis and Aquaventure waterpark. The monorail is owned by Nakheel and does not fall under the jurisdiction of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which is why the Nol Cards are not accepted, and the tickets for a full journey amount to AED25 for adults.

Opened right next to Palm Jumeirah’s Tiara Residences, is a beachside restaurant and bar strip, alongside a promenade; unlike anything else in the city. The Club Vista Mare takes the al-fresco dining experience to a whole new level with seven licensed restaurants, each one differing from the other in terms of food and style, but all commonly housing beautiful scenic views that can be enjoyed from the more than 1,000 outdoor seating. With international menus and the best of fine-dining, the promenade is quickly earning its name in the top-spots within the city.

Golden Mile Galleria

Golden Mile Galleria is a newly introduced mall located on the Palm, that hosts a state-of-the-art stretch of shops and cafes dotted along the island's appealing jogging track, which is lined by fairy-lights and overlooks the Arabian Gulf. With international food chains like Burger Fuel and Nando's, and several adored cafes, the mall is conveniently located to serve residents. Nail bars and spas also reside within the complex, along with a wide variety of the best retail outlets in town. Spinney's, a multinational hypermarket caters to all the residents' needs.

Atlantis The Royal

Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal

Atlantis, The Royal introduces a cutting-edge era of opulent resort living to Dubai. Spearheaded by a distinguished team of design and architecture luminaries, including globally acclaimed master architects Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (NYC), renowned interior designer Sybille de Margerie (Paris), and innovative water feature creators WET Design (California), the resort sets a new standard for elevated luxury catering to the discerning global traveler.

The visual identity of Atlantis, The Royal harmoniously blends the classic form of the adjacent Atlantis, The Palm Resort, with Dubai's progressive architecture. The outcome is a luxurious, modern, and refined development spanning 387,097 square meters across six towers connected by a 90-meter-long sky bridge. This bridge, reminiscent of the iconic arch associated with the Atlantis brand, houses the property’s most exclusive suite, The Royal Mansion, and the impressive Sky Pool that provides panoramic views of The Palm and Arabian Gulf.

Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis the royal

Situated on the crescent of The Palm next to Atlantis, The Palm, Atlantis, The Royal emerges as an unparalleled destination, where the sea meets the sky, fusing a chic city aesthetic with the cyan waters of the Arabian Sea. Crafted by leading designers, architects, and artists, the resort celebrates Dubai’s contemporary heritage, featuring daring architecture for an upscale stay with captivating surprises around every corner. Crowned by a 90-meter sky pool, Atlantis, The Royal takes guests on a sensorial journey with dreamlike rooms, 17 world-class restaurants (including five led by celebrity chefs), a 3,000-square-meter wellness center, and a surreal lobby housing over 2,000 ephemeral jellyfish gliding through one of the world’s largest jellyfish tanks.

What Not To Expect

Affordable Living Amidst The Hustle And Bustle Of The City

The exclusivity of the island makes residences extremely highly priced, and better-suited for those who earn high wages. Even the amenities that the palm offers are above average in pricing, which makes it difficult for just any individual to access. Those residing in villas find the isolation endearing but not many do.

Furthermore, even though the area is very family-friendly, it does not host any schools within the vicinity, which means parents either have to drop off their children nearby, or have the kids travel in a school bus. There is still a lot of ongoing construction, which means those areas find occasional traffic jams and unappealing noise pollution.

Palm Jumeirah is a sought-after location for its exclusivity and serenity.
