The self-declared eighth wonder of the world, Palm Jumeirah, is a man-made, palm-shaped island. The Monorail, especially built for Palm Jumeirah, is a rail running down the trunk and crescent of the impressive island. The monorail is owned by Nakheel and does not fall under the jurisdiction of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which is why the Nol Cards are not accepted, and the tickets for a full journey amount to AED25 for adults.
