Solve a murder mystery at Flashback in Paramount Hotel

Bring out your inner investigator at Flashback in Paramount Hotel. Located in Business Bay, the innovative concept that the restaurant has on feature makes you travel back to the 1920s to the harbour of New York where someone was executed. 

As your meal progresses, the story also progresses and takes you closer to solving the murder with the help of clues that you will be given with every order. You will get one clue per order, with the help of which, you will have to catch the culprit.

Coming to the food, the set menu on offer comprises 3 dishes and 2 beverages. I started my culinary journey with their Indiana Jones mocktail which was a refreshing blend of pineapple juice, passion fruit, pure lime juice and diet 7up. The menu had options of 5 dishes, out of which I settled for Wagyu Beef Mini Sliders, Crispy Fried Squid and Grilled Chicken Tacos. 

The sliders were the highlight of my dining experience. They were complemented with smoked cheese, portobello mushroom and red onion. The juicy meat was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. The Crispy Fried Squids, on the other hand, came with Padron pepper and jalapeno mayonnaise and were absolutely lip-smacking. Last, but not the least, the Grilled Chicken Tacos featured tropical barbecue, pickled red cabbage and aji mayo. They were extremely flavourful and worth choosing. I also had sips of their Sweeter Girl mocktail, which was a blend of orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, soda water and strawberry. This drink was equally refreshing as the previous one and I couldn't conclude which one was better.

Part of Dubai Food Festival, this concept will welcome you again on 12th March and 13th March. If you happen to visit on a Friday, live jazz and blues will add beats to your night.
