The boutique private island resort of Zaya Nurai Island is located off the shores of Abu Dhabi on Nurai Island and can be reached with the help of a 15-minute boat ride from Saadiyat Island. The uber-luxurious property features a world-class oceanside spa, five fine and casual food and beverage outlets, a beach club, and a wide range of exceptional activities on land and on the sea.
The 32-bed all-villa hotel also hosts 23 private residences as well as water villas. The individual beachfront villas are spread over 260 square metres. Each home is complemented with a dedicated pool in a private outdoor space of 130 square metres. They also feature the latest amenities along with dining and dedicated butler service.
Beach Villas
For families, the six-bedroom Beach Estates are ideal. The secluded abodes are surrounded by sweeping grass canopies and enjoy private beaches and breathtaking views of the ocean. Smaller groups of guests can opt for the one or the two-bedroom beach villas that offer luxury amenities and superior space.
The villas blend into the landscape and reflect the beauty and tranquility that surrounds them. They feature high ceilings, spacious terraces and palm-fringed gardens. The villas are complemented with amenities like Bose or Polk speakers, gourmet minibar, outdoor lounge with private dining, freestanding bathtub with sea view, walk-in rainfall shower, private pool, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, rooftop dining and barbecue area, private patio and sun deck, private sauna and access to the private beach.
Restaurants
The resort hosts a number of fine-dining eateries that serve delicacies tailored to the taste and standards of the guests.
They include Frangipani, serving Middle Eastern, Asian and Western delights; Hooked, serving fresh seafood; Dusk, serving Mexican delicacies, Smokin' Pineapple, serving gourmet wooden oven-fired pizza along with a range of cocktails and Ginger Mermaid, offering Asian-influenced cuisine and fresh seafood.
Activities
Zaya Nurai Island is an ideal playground for kids and also for those who are young at hearts. Hosting a wide array of land and water activities, the resort gives its guests a chance to explore the stunning beaches and the Arabian Gulf. The activities include scuba diving, snorkelling, jet ski and water ski rides, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fly-fishing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, and banana ride.
The guests can also indulge in a fishing expedition and have their fresh catch cooked by the chef at Hooked restaurant according to their liking. They can also choose to take a boat cruising trip with family and friends and explore the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi.
Besides water sports, the resort also has on offer a number of other outdoor activities that include bicycle rides, beach volleyball, badminton, basketball and football. The guests can also take tennis lessons on the resort's outdoor tennis court.
It also hosts a Kids club called Petit Z, which features a range of entertainment and activities tailored for different age groups from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.
