"The opportunity to own a property in Dubai, that too in a waterfront community, was too lucrative to miss" says Satyabrata Mukherjee, an Indian, who has found his perfect abode in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT). "I love the fact that JLT is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community. One can also identify himself with the nature while sitting on the banks of the beautiful lake. Living in a community where a number of offices have shifted from the main city, we also find ourselves in the midst of a working crowd," he says, while describing the community.

Talking about what made him choose JLT as his home, he says, "The opportunity to own a property in this country was something I was looking out for. What especially weighed in favour of choosing this community is the fact that it is situated within close proximity to my work place at Jebel Ali, and living here will help me save time and energy which I used to waste while driving."

What Satyabrata loves the most about JLT is that the community is far from the din and bustle of humdrum hectic city life yet offer the amenities like that of the main city. "Be it markets, super markets, home deliveries, restaurants, banks, ATMs, we enjoy it all. Quality and standard of all the amenities are much better than in the city, albeit a bit costlier."

"The lake offers tranquility, while the large playground sees a lot of children, and oldies playing. There is also a weekly market, a beautiful promenade with a large number of retai outlets," he added while talking about the amenities that he and his family enjoy at JLT.

I love the fact that JLT is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community. One can also identify himself with the nature while sitting on the banks of the beautiful lake.

When asked if there are any drawbacks about living in this community, he says, "Finding parking spaces to park one's car can be quite a daunting task in this area when it comes to office visitors. Also, being an upscale community, the cost of living is higher than that at the main city. One also has to fork out AED 16 as Salik charge for a trip to areas like Bur Dubai."

"Offering an efficient transport system, JLT is linked by Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram. Moreover, the water taxis are available just across Sheikh Zayed Road, in the Marina."

"We rely mostly on Ibn Battuta Mall and Mall of the Emirates for our entertainment needs, which are almost equidistant; that is, a 10 km radius from JLT. Movie theaters and other entertainment facilities are available at these malls."

"Except that the maintenance charges and the Community Cooling Charges are pretty high in JLT when compared to other many other locations in Dubai, there are no shortcomings that we have come across in this community. I would describe JLT as the place to live and enjoy Dubai."
