Schools & nurseries guide to Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT)

Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) is a swanky development conveniently located in new Dubai consisting of 79 towers with exclusive residential and commercial buildings. A plethora of nurseries exist in the area to cater to the young families living in their rented apartments, however, the cosmopolitan area does not have schools in the immediate vicinity. Here is a guide to the top nurseries and schools in and around the area.

Nurseries

1. Mosaic Nursery

Offering excellent childcare in the formative years of development, Mosaic Nursery is located in the heart of JLT. They follow the British curriculum and offer a fun, caring, safe and stimulating environment. Open for children aged 8 months up to 4 years. With an evidence-based teaching style, they incorporate both, adult and child-initiated activities. Classrooms are spacious and designed to accommodate different age groups, with advanced educational resources and a welcoming atmosphere. Prioritizing children's safety, they offer an indoor physical development area, along with specialized education in music, movement and drama.   The nursery has partnerships with several schools in Dubai in order to help your child transition smoothly. The fee per term for full-time boarders is AED 14,500.

2. Rainbow Valley Nursery

Catering to a child's colourful journey of learning, Rainbow Valley Nursery prepares students for a brighter future in themed classrooms. Stimulating equipment and materials help their promotion of independent, hands-on learning. They also offer a soft play area and a junior's gym. The classrooms are fully-equipped with white-boards and laptops that are always connected to the WiFi. Operational from 7AM to 6PM, they have priority access to a gated park with a large play area, stroller paths and scenic walkways. They have 24-hour CCTV service, along with childproof locks and doors. With flexible timings for working parents, they follow the EYFS curriculum; licensed and approved by the KHDA. For full day boarders 5 days a week, fees are approximately AED 13,000 per term.

3. Dewdrops Nursery

Classes up to FS-2, Dewdrops Nursery provides a happy, safe, conducive and stimulating environment to optimize a child's potential. With a home-away-from-home atmosphere, they promise children's progress through quality and consistent learning. They have soft-fall flooring which is anti-microbial, anti-slip and Eco-friendly. The staff promote healthy lifestyles and high standards of hygiene. With exclusive indoor and outdoor play areas, they follow the EYFS schooling system. The multi-cultural staff offers a full day of activities and learning for students. Online registration is available. The fees are AED 3,000 per month, for five days a week full-boarders.

4. Oakfield Early Learning Center

Catering to children's needs from 8AM to 6PM, Oakfield Early Learning Center also offers daily services at AED25 for 4 hours, and AED50 for 6 hours. Awarded the best educational establishment in 2016 by DMCC, it follows the British EYFS system, promoting a natural and stimulating environment. Their day care helps working parents with flexible timings for children aged 3 months to 4-year-olds. The Centre is fully-equipped with educational learning materials, as well as encouraging interaction between children.

Schools

1. Greenfield Community School

An International Baccalaureate (IB) World Continuum School, Greenfield Community School is authorized to offer all four IB programmes: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and as one of the first schools in the United Arab Emirates, the IB’s Career-related Programme (IBCP). The Taaleem school enrolls students from KG-1, up to Grade 12. They have an auditorium, a shaded, competitive swimming pool, large sports fields, a gym, libraries; to name a few. Annual fees range from AED 41,441 to AED 76,315.

2. Hartland International School

Hartland International School provides education through the National Curriculum for England. Their vision is to instill creativity in their students’ minds, promote problem solving skills, and aim to exceed expectations. Preparing students for Model United Nations, World Scholars Cup and Debating, they have many high-quality facilities to offer. Transport is available for the convenience of parents. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) approved fees range is from AED 49,750 to AED 76,000 per year.
