Brad Wissink and Rozina Stefan's paths converged in Dubai driven by their shared fascination for contemporary, functional designs. Brad's business acumen and Rozina's passion for interior aesthetics coupled with an insatiable curiosity about how people across the globe crafted their living spaces, laid the cornerstone for the founding of The Loom Collection.

Beyond their professional pursuits, the partners draw deep inspiration from travels, immersing themselves in diverse cultures, and gaining insights into the unique ways people create their homes.

Rozina: Our journey with The Loom Collection began when we both acquired properties in Dubai. As we set out to settle into our homes, we encountered a common challenge - we couldn't find furniture that resonated with our way of living.

So, we decided to create our own solution, and after spending many years of research across multiple continents, we curated a small collection in 2019, when the online store went live. The Loom Collection was born from the idea that homes should tell a story and reflect a lifestyle. It was our way of bringing a touch of warmth, casual sophistication, and personality to the modern homes of Dubai.

Brad: Although our style could be described by some as 'minimalist,' our inspiration is deeply rooted right here in the vibrant landscape of the UAE. The dynamic interplay between the modern urban architecture of Dubai and the sun-kissed beaches that line its shores has been instrumental in shaping our collection.

Rozina: Our goal has always been to bring this captivating urban-coastal dialogue indoors, allowing our iconic pieces to resonate with the very soul of Dubai. Our designs aren't just visually striking; they are crafted to thrive in this region’s climate. We've carefully chosen materials like linen fabrics and wool fibers that complement the local weather, ensuring both comfort and functionality.

Brad: It's not just about aesthetics; our furniture is grounded in practicality. We believe that every piece should not only be a work of art but also a comfortable, functional addition to actual homes. We draw inspiration from renowned designers in Denmark, Australia, and New Zealand, blending our design sensibilities with our vision for Dubai living. At The Loom Collection, our pieces are more than just stunning; they are a manifestation of our passion for fusing craftsmanship, comfort, and practicality into every home.

Brad: We're passionate about incorporating natural elements. Solid wood, especially oak and teak, is a cornerstone for us, as it brings the missing warmth we felt was essential. We also embrace Italian marble and high-quality leather, New Zealand wool, and recently, we've fallen in love with Travertine stone and Tadelakt finishes. You will see some really lovely pieces in these timeless materials very soon in our store.

Rozina: The Nysse chair holds a special place in my heart. It's more than a piece of furniture; it's a timeless classic, destined to become a vintage family heirloom over the years. And the Baker Sofa, which is the ultimate blend of comfort and style, is a versatile piece that’s the perfect blank canvas to add character to any living room.

Brad: My all-time favorite is the Hansen sofa in Black Forest color. It's the perfect bachelor sofa, combining casual luxury with unbeatable comfort. And the Eden coffee table – it's a design masterpiece and very versatile.

Rozina: One of the recent projects that truly tugs at our heartstrings is this stunning villa. It's a collaborative masterpiece between Studio D04 and The Loom Collection. But what makes it so special is not just the design; it's how the furniture and architecture clicked. The villa belongs to a lovely Emirati couple, and let me tell you, they've got an eye for what makes a house a home. They fell in love with our furniture, and together, we turned their vision into a reality. Our pieces seamlessly blended with the whole vibe of the place. It's not just furniture; it's part of the story this house tells. And we're proud to be a part of that narrative.

Brad & Rozina: In Dubai's creative melting pot, it's tough to narrow down our favourites. With around 250 architects, interior designers, developers, and fit-out contractors we collaborate with, each bringing our unique magic, choosing just a few is quite a challenge.

But there are names that consistently stand out, and we deeply respect the talent they bring to the table. Studio D04 is one of them. Their portfolio boasts stunning projects that redefine design boundaries, and we're honored to have been a part of our latest venture. DesignK, Benn Robinson, Styling by Charly, and the remarkable team at C'est ici hold a special place in our hearts. They've been with us from the very beginning, and it's incredible to witness our growth and evolution. Their dedication to their craft is truly inspiring.

And then there's the vibrant design community that includes Urban Nest, Fronteriors, and Custom No.9 to name a few...these fellow boutique furniture stores are leaving a memorable mark on the interiors of not just Dubai but beyond. We're proud to be in such good company, surrounded by these creative minds who continually shape the design landscape of the UAE.
